NTSE 2013-14

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national-level scholarship program in India to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent. It is one of the most prestigious exams in India. Close to 300,000 students (a largely self selective group of students) appear in this scholarship exam every year, and 1,000 scholarships are awarded, out of which 775 are not reserved. The scheme is open to students of Indian nationality. Only students studying in Class X are eligible to appear for the selection process. As it is organized by an official body (NCERT), it is widely regarded by the Government of India as the most prestigious and the most difficult examination at high school level in the country. Students are divided into 4 quotas: General, SC, ST, Disabled. Around 750 students will be selected from General quota, 150 from SC, 80 from ST and around 20 from Disabled quota. The students who qualifies second stage are eligible for scholarship. The amount of scholarship has been enhanced to Rs.1250 per month for class XI and XII and Rs.2000/- Per month for students studying under graduate and above. Starts immediately after the result.

Some break records, but RPS has a history of blasting them away. 14 Selections, yes you read it correctly, 14 selections in NTSE is like another feather in the cap of RPS. One of the most prestigious exams at junior level (matric standard) by CBSE, NTSE saw a new phase in its history when the school and the endeavour of its teachers gave selections, no other school can even imagine. The only example of such a success, RPS is determined to improve its skills by upgrading the existing sources and incorporating new ones. Not only selections but the ranks scored by the students are also worth praising.
